WNAM REPORT: Economic and Trade Counselor at the Embassy of Indonesia in Islamabad, Axelsyah R. Miraza, was honoured at a farewell dinner in Islamabad in recognition of his outstanding services and valuable contribution to strengthening economic and trade relations between Pakistan and Indonesia during his three-year tenure.
The farewell reception brought together members of the diplomatic corps, business leaders, senior journalists, and officials from the Indonesian Embassy.
Participants paid glowing tribute to Miraza’s dedication and commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation and fostering stronger economic partnerships between the two friendly nations.
The event was organized by “Financia Digital News” and the Diplomatic Journalists of Islamabad. Among those in attendance were Indonesian Embassy officials Mr. Dicky Rachmat Pauji, Mr. Nugroho Protkons, and Mr. Heryanto, along with senior journalists Akhter Tezeen and Shams Abbasi, as well as prominent representatives of Pakistan’s business community.
Speakers at the event praised Miraza for his tireless efforts in promoting trade, investment, and economic collaboration between Pakistan and Indonesia. They acknowledged his instrumental role in bringing the business communities of both countries closer together and encouraging greater commercial engagement.
Participants described Miraza as a highly competent, dedicated, and approachable diplomat who carried out his responsibilities with professionalism and sincerity. They noted that his deep understanding of economic diplomacy and his friendly engagement with stakeholders had earned him widespread respect in both diplomatic and business circles.
President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Atif Ikram Sheikh, besides the ceremony talking to APP, lauded Miraza’s services, describing him as a true friend of Pakistan who worked tirelessly to strengthen business-to-business links between the two countries.
“Mr. Miraza has made remarkable contributions towards enhancing trade relations between Pakistan and Indonesia. His commitment to promoting economic cooperation has left a lasting impact, and his efforts will continue to benefit both nations,” Atif Ikram said.
He also extended his best wishes to Miraza for continued success in his diplomatic career and a prosperous future for him and his family.
Speaking separately to APP, President of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), Usman Shaukat, also commended the Indonesian diplomat’s services. He said Miraza had played a pivotal role over the past three years in expanding bilateral trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
“As President of RCCI, I found Mr. Miraza to be an exceptionally hardworking, committed, and visionary diplomat. His close engagement with Pakistan’s business community and his sincere efforts to promote stronger economic ties have been truly commendable,” Shaukat remarked.
He added that Miraza’s strong affinity for Pakistan and his practical approach to economic diplomacy helped create new opportunities for trade, investment, and institutional collaboration.
The evening concluded with participants expressing gratitude for Miraza’s remarkable contributions and wishing him every success in his future assignments. They expressed confidence that the strong foundation laid during his tenure would further deepen the longstanding friendship and economic partnership between Pakistan and Indonesia in the years ahead.
