WNAM REPORT: Pakistan and China have reaffirmed their commitment to expanding business-to-business cooperation, with a particular focus on advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure, at a Pakistan-China B2B Conference held on the sidelines of the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) 2026 in Beijing.
The conference, themed “Win-Win Partnerships,” brought together senior government officials, business leaders and representatives of the private sector from both countries to explore new avenues for investment, joint ventures, technology transfer and commercial cooperation.
Pakistan Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi attended and addressed the conference, describing the gathering as an important platform for strengthening direct links between Pakistani and Chinese businesses.
The event was organized in partnership between the Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing and IBI Guolian Gufen, bringing together around 100 participants for focused discussions and networking.
Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Hashmi welcomed the active participation of Chinese and Pakistani officials and business leaders, emphasizing the importance of creating practical opportunities for enterprises from both countries to work together.
Among the prominent participants were Yang Shuo, Deputy Secretary General of the Beijing Municipality; Li Yi, Deputy Director General of the Beijing Commerce Bureau; Liu Jun Zihai, Director of IBI and Founder of TDD Global; and S. M. Tanveer, Patron-in-Chief of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and Chairman of Din Group.
The conference provided a platform for participants to identify areas of mutual commercial interest and explore partnerships in emerging and technology-driven sectors.
Particular attention was given to advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure, areas that are increasingly shaping global economic growth and creating new opportunities for international investment and industrial cooperation.
The discussions also focused on strengthening technology transfer and joint ventures, enabling companies from Pakistan and China to combine their respective capabilities, expertise and market opportunities.
The B2B format allowed business representatives to move beyond broader bilateral economic discussions and engage directly with potential partners, investors and technology providers.
Ambassador Hashmi thanked the participating officials and business leaders for their active engagement, noting the value of such platforms in fostering deeper commercial ties between Pakistan and China.
The conference was held alongside CIFTIS 2026, providing Pakistani businesses with an opportunity to engage with China’s rapidly expanding services and technology ecosystem and connect with international companies participating in one of China’s major trade and investment events.
The gathering reflects the growing emphasis on enterprise-to-enterprise engagement in Pakistan-China economic relations, as both sides seek to expand cooperation beyond traditional areas and develop partnerships in technology, innovation, manufacturing and digital services.
With around 100 participants, the conference served as a focused forum for networking, business matchmaking and discussions on potential investments and collaborative ventures.
The event also highlighted the role of the private sector in driving the next phase of Pakistan-China economic cooperation, with direct business partnerships expected to contribute to investment, technology transfer, industrial development and greater integration between the two economies.
The Pakistan-China B2B Conference thus emerged as an important platform for translating the longstanding bilateral relationship into practical, commercially sustainable and mutually beneficial partnerships, reinforcing the shared vision of “win-win” cooperation between Pakistani and Chinese enterprises.
