(WNAM Monitoring): The Presidential Decree “On the State Program for the Implementation of the Uzbekistan – 2030 Strategy in the Year of Support for Youth and Business” was adopted on February 21, 2024.
Several measures will be implemented to create favorable conditions for the transition to a green economy and increase the share of green energy sources:
Until April 1, 2024, the organization of the turnover of green energy certificates based on market principles will be ensured;
The procedure for implementing projects on international trade in greenhouse gases will be approved.
From April 1, 2024, a modern monitoring, reporting, and verification system for climate change and a database will be implemented step by step.
By the end of 2024, six large solar power plants with a total capacity of 2,700 MW will be commissioned in Tashkent, Kashkadarya, Bukhara, Namangan, and Navoi regions with the participation of foreign investors.
