WNAM REPORT: The opening ceremony of the 2nd International Festival of Chamber and Symphony Music “Golden Autumn” took place at the State Academic Grand Theatre named after Alisher Navoi.
“This international festival, organized to develop friendly ties between leading orchestras and performers, and promoting the exchange of creative experience, not only helps discover new talents but also serves as a beautiful form of dialogue through music”, noted Mr. Tojiboyev, Director of the State Philharmonic of Uzbekistan. “Although its participants come from different foreign countries, they speak one language – the language of music. In this sense, the event will become a unique example of cultural cooperation between different civilizations, peoples, and nations”.The 2nd International Festival of Chamber and Symphony Music “Golden Autumn” was officially declared open with a concert by the National Symphony Orchestra conducted by People’s Artist of Uzbekistan Ismoil Jalilov.The State Philharmonic of Uzbekistan organizes the festival in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of CIS Member States. First held in 2023, it was met with great success.This year’s festival, being held for the second time, will run until November 11. Talented artistic ensembles from around 10 foreign countries, including Germany, Russia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan, will take part.
