Korean language learning playing key-role in strengthening Pak-Korea ties: Envoy

WNAM REPORT: The 2024 Quiz on Korea was held at the National University of Modern Languages on Tuesday. It was jointly organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Department of Korean Language & Culture Islamabad, National University of Modern Languages.
The 2024 Quiz on Korea was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, H.E. Mr. Park Kijun, Dr. Atif Faraz, registrar, NUML, Dean, faculty of Languages Professor Dr. Jamil Asghar Jami, the Head of the Department of Korean Language and Culture Mr. Ahtisham Hussain, the faculty and a large number of students.
The students had great knowledge on the culture and history of Korea. The participants were awarded with exciting gift prizes. The 1st prize winner won the Samsung Tab A9 with a 128 GB of storage, 2nd prize winner won the Galaxy Watch 5, 40mm in classic black and the seven participants were awarded the Galaxy Buds 2, one of the masterpieces of Samsung with its exceptional audio excellence along with heartfelt certificates of appreciation.
While giving his remarks H.E. also laid emphasis on how the learning of Korean language and events like the 2024 Quiz on Korea have played a key-role in enhancing and strengthening the bilateral ties between Pakistan and the Republic of Korea.
In the concluding remarks, the Dean, faculty of languages Professor Dr. Jamil Asghar Jami congratulated all the students and wished good luck to all the Korean speaking Pakistani students and he shared his optimism regarding the future of bilateral ties and the people-to-people interaction between Pakistan and Korea.
