WNAM MONITORING: Pakistan supports mutually beneficial economic cooperation with Azerbaijan and is ready to deepen it, Ambassador of Pakistan to Azerbaijan Bilal Hayee said at an event on the occasion of National Day.
“Trade turnover between the two countries has more than doubled over the past three years. More work is needed in this direction to use the full potential of cooperation,” he said.
The ambassador recalled that in June 2023, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Baku and held extensive discussions with President Ilham Aliyev.
“The leaders of the two countries agreed to expand cooperation in many areas, especially in the fields of energy, trade, investment and tourism,” Hayee added.
He also noted that at the moment there are direct weekly flights from Baku to major cities of Pakistan.
“Our regular interaction at the highest level continues to develop every day,” the ambassador concluded.
