More people die in road accidents on our roads every year than Cancer or heart patients. The traffic police has miserably failed to deliver: Harsh punishments are needed for those found involved in violation of traffic rules and not only Police but Courts should also show no latitude in the matter of Challaning offenders of traffic rules and handing down rigorous jail terms to them also .

Under age persons are allowed to drive, undeserving persons are being issued Driving Licenses, mechanically unfit vehicles are being allowed to ply on the roads.
The traffic police is showing a latitude by not coming down with a heavy hand on those who drive motor cycles without covering their head with helmets so on and so forth.
In the same manner, the Courts need to make an example of offenders of traffic rules by handing down harsh jail terms for them and last but not least our Parliamentarians need to pass necessary legislation in the matter by strengthening the hands of the traffic rules and the courts for dealing with offenders of traffic rules.
