ANKARA: In Sri Lanka on Sunday a racing car veered off the track and killed seven spectators, said local media reports.
The accident during the Fox Hill Super Cross 2024 put 20 other people in the hospital with injuries, the island nation’s Daily Mirror reported.
After the deadly accident, the rest of the races at the event were cancelled.
The 28th Fox Hill Super Cross, organized by the Sri Lanka Military Academy (Diyatalawa) and Sri Lanka Automobile Sports, had been set to conclude in Diyatalawa on Sunday.
