Issues of expanding the political and diplomatic dialogue between Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom, strengthening trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation, and intensifying parliamentary ties were discussed.
The importance of implementing joint projects in developing a green economy and strengthening interaction in combating the effects of climate change was noted. The development of educational and cultural-humanitarian ties is considered a priority area. The issues of training qualified specialists in higher education institutions and expanding academic programs taught in English were considered.
David Cameron emphasized that Uzbekistan is working to ensure human rights, implement the principles of decent work, achieve gender equality, and counter domestic violence.
