KABUL: The Acting Minister of National Defense, Mawlawi Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid, held a promising meeting with Mohammad Yusuf Kalla, former Vice President and current President of the Indonesian Red Crescent and Mosque Council, along with his delegation, at his office.
During the meeting, Defense Minister Mujahid expressed Afghanistan’s interest in expanding relations and cooperation in various fields with Indonesia, highlighting the many commonalities shared by Afghanistan and Indonesia and the desire to strengthen ties between the two Islamic countries.
On the other hand, the Indonesian delegation observed significant progress in Afghanistan’s security and economic sectors, contrary to negative media reports. They emphasized that much of what they had heard about Afghanistan was propaganda, and the reality is much more positive.
In the end, the Indonesian delegation expressed their readiness to invest in Afghanistan, committing to foster bilateral relations and contribute to its development.
