HÀ TĨNH: A multi-vehicle traffic accident occured on Saturday morning at National Highway 1 through Cẩm Thịnh Commune, Cẩm Xuyên District, Hà Tĩnh, and killed three people, according to the Hà Tĩnh Traffic Police Department.
According to the report, while travelling on National Highway 1 through Hà Tĩnh, a lorry transporting pigs unexpectedly collided with two other vehicles. The accident resulted in the deaths of three people who were on the pig lorry.
At approximately 6am on Saturday, the pig lorry, bearing the licence plate 38C-180.65, was travelling on National Highway 1. As the lorry turned to a petrol station in Cẩm Thịnh Commune (Cẩm Xuyên District), it collided with a car with a Hà Nội licence plate that was travelling in the same direction. The strong impact caused the pig lorry to be thrown into the opposite lane, where it then collided with a tractor-trailer with the licence plate 63C-076.68 travelling in the opposite direction.
The accident resulted in the immediate death of three people on the pig lorry, with two bodies trapped in the cabin. All three victims were identified as residents of Cẩm Hà Commune, Cẩm Xuyên District. At the scene, all three vehicles were severely damaged, with the pig lorry crushed and its cabin separated from the vehicle body.
Authorities quickly arrived at the scene of the accident to regulate traffic and extract the trapped bodies from the cabin. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by the relevant authorities. VNS
