More often than not, district magistrates requisition for the frontier corps and frontier constabulary platoons from the KPK to assist local police in maintaining law and order of their districts which raises a big question mark on the performance of local police. If it is incapable of delivering what is it for?
The recruitment system of the lower echelon of police leaves much to be desired. It is in the evidence that MPAs, MNAs etc have a big say in their recruitment and in their postings transfers to boot. Unless their recruitment and posting is patterned on the system in vogue in the Armed forces of the country incapable persons would be wearing police uniform with the result that anti social element and criminals would beat the hell out of them thus making a laughing stock of them and the DMs would always be forced to ask for FC border force and militia, to boot.
