WNAM REPORT: The forum dedicated to exposing false information and combating disinformation will focus on the issues of increasing the ethical responsibility of the media, expanding international cooperation for the development of policy measures, and determining the important role of governments and the media in strengthening the information ecosystem.
The 1st Shusha Global Media Forum on “New Media in the Age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution”, held on July 21-23, 2023, was attended by officials, representatives of civil society, state, and business, defenders of press and media freedom, employees of international organizations, scientists, and experts from more than 50 countries.
This time, the program included sessions and roundtable discussions on understanding the scope of disinformation, impact assessment, policies for building a society resistant to biased information, and initiative analysis.
Experts will discuss the impact of artificial intelligence on reality, increase media literacy, and determine the role of media in the fight against climate change.
So far, about 200 foreign guests have expressed their desire to participate in the forum.
