WNAM MONITORING: After successful participation in the international animated Film Festival in Annecy (France), Turkmenistan is expanding its cooperation in the field of animation. As “Turkmenportal” was told in the “Mahabat” department of the State Committee for Television, Radio and Cinematography of Turkmenistan, internal cooperation has been established with the member countries of TURKSOY, within the framework of which Turkmen animation studios received an invitation to a prestigious festival in Azerbaijan.
The 7th International Animation Festival ANIMAFILM organized by the Azerbaijan Animation Association, will be held from October 2 to 6, 2024 in Baku. This event provides a unique platform for animation professionals, enthusiasts and studios, giving them the opportunity to participate in a competitive program.
Participants can submit their work through the filmFreeway online platform until July 15, 2024. Films must be created after January 1, 2023 and contain at least 50% animation. The organizers do not limit participants in the choice of animation techniques and topics.
ANIMAFILM, being the first and only animation festival in Azerbaijan, has been serving as a meeting place for creative youth, directors and animation studios since 2018. The festival not only showcases hundreds of animated films, but also hosts master classes, conferences, concerts and exhibitions, promoting the exchange of experience between local and foreign animation masters.
