ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT ): The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) has stepped up efforts to expand Pakistan’s trade and investment relations with Australia, as its representative and Chief Executive Officer of Mabcon, Ch. Muhammad Ali, met with the Consul General of Pakistan in Sydney, Qamar Zaman, to discuss avenues for enhancing bilateral commercial cooperation and facilitating greater business-to-business engagement between the two countries.
During the meeting, both sides discussed a wide range of issues relating to bilateral trade, investment promotion and commercial cooperation. They exchanged views on identifying new business opportunities, enhancing institutional linkages and encouraging greater interaction between the private sectors of Pakistan and Australia.
Ch. Muhammad Ali informed the Consul General that ICCI intends to organize a business delegation to Australia next year, comprising leading entrepreneurs and investors from various sectors. He said the visit would provide an important platform for exploring joint ventures, attracting investment, promoting Pakistani products and facilitating meaningful business-to-business engagements with Australian companies.
He emphasized that ICCI remains committed to opening new avenues for trade and investment by strengthening its engagement with international markets and creating opportunities for its members to establish long-term commercial partnerships abroad.
Welcoming the initiative, Consul General Qamar Zaman assured his full support for the proposed delegation and reaffirmed the Consulate General’s commitment to facilitating Pakistani businesses, connecting them with relevant Australian stakeholders and promoting stronger economic and commercial relations between the two countries.
Both sides expressed confidence that sustained collaboration between ICCI and the Consulate General of Pakistan in Sydney would contribute significantly to enhancing bilateral trade, encouraging investment flows and unlocking new opportunities for the business communities of Pakistan and Australia.
