Shusha: Organized by Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs, a conference titled “Women in the Islamic world: Traditions and challenges” has today kicked off in the city of Shusha.
Chairperson of Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs Bahar Muradova, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Associations Ramin Mammadov, Chairperson of the Milli Majlis Committee on Family, Women and Children affairs Hijran Husyenova, Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration and Family of the Kingdom of Morocco Aawatif Hayar, representatives of the public, media, and employees of various government agencies are attending the conference.
The conference will feature panel discussions on several key topics, including the role of women in the reconstruction and sustainable development of Karabakh, protecting women’s rights in a globalizing world within the Islamic context, and Islamic approach to relationship between human and the environment.
