General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong passed away on July 19 afternoon at the age of 80, according to the board of health protection and care for central officials.
Meanwhile, the Party General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping paid his last respects to late Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the head office of the Vietnamese Embassy in Beijing on July 20. The Vietnamese Party leader passed away on July 19 afternoon at the age of 80.
