WNAM REPORT: As previously reported, today, the authorized representatives of political parties registered at the Central Election Commission and were issued mandates in electronic form through the “E-saylov” information system.
According to the law, a political party must be registered with the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan to participate in the elections no less than four months from the date of the announcement of the start of the election campaign. Additionally, parties can nominate candidates for deputies who have collected at least forty thousand signatures of voters in support of their participation in the elections.
Based on this, the Central Election Commission handed over to the authorized representatives of political parties signature sheets of the established form for collecting signatures of voters supporting their participation in the elections.
It is known that a political party in one administrative-territorial structure (the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions, the city of Tashkent) out of forty thousand voters can collect no more than 8 percent of signatures.
Starting today, political parties have begun collecting voters’ signatures.
