Tashkent: Poor visibility caused by thick fog limited the arrival and departure of flights at the airports of Ferghana, Namangan and Samarkand.
The S7 Airlines plane, flying SBI-6323 on the route Irkutsk – Ferghana, due to poor weather conditions at the destination airport (fog, visibility 50m) landed at 23:27 local time at an alternate airfield at Namangan airport.
According to the airline’s decision, 177 passengers will be transported to Ferghana by ground transport.
However, from 00:10 thick fog shrouded the Namangan airport – visibility was 600 m. Temporary restrictions on the reception of aircraft were introduced.
There is also thick fog at Samarkand International Airport – visibility is 50 m. The airport has limited the reception of aircraft.
If unfavorable weather conditions persist, flights will be redirected to other nearby airports in the republic.
