WNAM MONITORING: Creative delegations from Turkmenistan will take part in three major international music festivals. On August 25 in Berlin at the Young Euro Classic festival, young Turkmen musicians will present national instruments and melodies in modern arrangements.
From August 25 to 30, the XIII international festival “Sharq Taronalary” will be held in Samarkand, and from August 17 to 31, the “Caspian Seasons” festival will be held in Astrakhan, where the symphony orchestra of the Caspian states, including musicians from Turkmenistan, will perform.
At the Berlin Young Euro Classic festival, Turkmen artists will demonstrate playing national instruments – dutar, gidzhak and tuiduk, performing compositions by famous Turkmen authors Nury Halmamedov, Veli Muhadov and Durdy Nuryev in a modern interpretation.
The Sharq Taronalary festival In Samarkand, held every two years with the support of UNESCO, is one of the main musical events in Central Asia. It is aimed at preserving and developing the musical traditions of the peoples of the world, encouraging talent and strengthening international creative ties.
At the Caspian Seasons festival in Astrakhan, an open-air opera performance is planned in the Astrakhan Kremlin with the participation of world stage stars. A special feature of the festival will be the performance of the symphony orchestra of the Caspian states, uniting musicians from Russia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
The participation of Turkmen musicians in these prestigious international festivals demonstrates the growing interest in the culture of Turkmenistan and helps strengthen the country’s cultural ties in the international arena.
