WNAM REPORT: From September 9 to 12, Milan hosted the Gastech 2025 International Conference and Exhibition, which brought together more than 50,000 energy industry professionals from 150 countries. The event was attended by energy ministers, heads of major oil and gas companies, including Shell, TotalEnergies, BP and ADNOC.
The exhibition discussed energy security, LNG supplies, decarbonization and the introduction of clean energy technologies. Particular attention was paid to the development of hydrogen energy, carbon capture and storage technologies, as well as the use of artificial intelligence in the gas industry.
Conference participants expressed confidence in the long-term future of natural gas. According to experts, the Asian market will remain the main driver of global gas demand, which is especially relevant for Turkmenistan in the context of the planned TAPI gas pipeline.
Representatives of the Turkmen Energy Forum actively participated in the event, holding meetings with partners from Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Turkmen representatives also invited international companies to take part in the 30th International Conference and Exhibition “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan – OGT 2025”, which will be held in Ashgabat from October 22 to 24.
According to the organizers, more than 300 international delegates from 40 countries have already confirmed their participation in OGT 2025. The entire exhibition area is fully booked, which indicates the high interest of the world business in the energy sector of Turkmenistan.
The OGT 2025 program will include discussions on production sharing agreements, innovations in the hydrocarbon sector and opportunities for foreign partners to participate in the development of the country’s energy infrastructure.
