WNAM REPORT: The meeting of the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, with the medalists of the Summer 2024 Olympic Games in Paris in Astana was canceled, press secretary of the Kazakh President Berik Uali said, as per reports.
The meeting was canceled since several sportsmen and coaches were diagnosed with COVID-19.
The Head of State was expected to meet with the sportsmen on August 14 in Astana.
Berik Uali wished all sooner recovery. He said the meeting with the athletes is slated for the end of August.
As earlier reported, the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, decreed to award sportsmen and coaches of the national team with state awards for their high achievements at the Summer 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
