WNAM REPORT: The unanimous decision by the international community to grant Azerbaijan the privilege of hosting COP29 is a resounding testament to the country’s unwavering commitment to environmental protection and climate change mitigation.
Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev stated during the Scientific-Practical Conference on “Environmental water offenses contributing to climate change” held in Nakhchivan, this momentous event will be “written in golden letters in our country’s history book.”
The prosecutor general added that Azerbaijan’s selection as the host nation for COP29 is a clear reflection of the immense respect and trust the global community has placed in the country’s ability to lead the charge against climate chan.
He noted that this recognition is a direct result of Azerbaijan’s tireless efforts to contribute to environmental protection and climate change prevention at national, regional, and global levels.
