KARACHI( WNAM REP0RT): The Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan visited the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Saquib Fayyaz Magoon, Acting President FPCCI, Muhammad Zubair Motiwala, Chief Executive Officer, Trade Development Authority of Pakistan and other office bearers and stakeholders of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and and Industry warmly welcomed the Minister.
The speakers, including Acting President of the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Saquib Fayyaz and the Chief Executive Officer of the Trade Development Authority Pakistan, Zubair Motiwala raised their concerns over the present situation of the business, especially the ease of doing business and the cost of doing business and exports before Mr. Kamal.
The Federal Minister assured complete support from the Commerce Ministry as well from the Government of Pakistan under the vision of Prime Minister to boost Pakistan’s economy and ease of doing business. He said that the survival of the Pakistan economy is directly connected with the performance of the Commerce Ministry and the Chambers of Commerce simultaneously. The trade officers on missions have been especially assigned to promote the trade and commerce of the country, he further added.
The Minister for Commerce was further apprised regarding the apprehensions among the business community regarding the load shedding, the tariff rise in gas and electricity. He said that the country’s economic situation was badly affected due to the post corvid pandemic, and there was a time when the situation was quite alarming with the impression of the default. Despite all challenges, this country not only survived but we were going in the right direction under the vision of the Prime Minister.
