WNAM MONITORING): President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the progress of the construction of the Olympic Village.

The majestic complex is being built to host the Asian and Asian Youth Para Games, scheduled for next year.

The Olympic Village, which will occupy an area of 100 hectares, will have all the conditions for successfully holding the tournament. Active construction is currently underway at the main facilities. The construction of the Olympic stadium for 12,000 seats, a velodrome for 2,000 spectators, a palace of water sports, and martial arts and team games complexes has already been completed.

The Head of state visited key sports facilities and became acquainted with the progress of construction work. The responsible persons reported on the conditions for organizing the opening ceremony and competitions.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev paid special attention to convenience and safety issues. He noted the need to ensure a high level of digitalization of all processes and the widespread use of artificial intelligence technologies.

The Olympic Village will also have 15 open courts for football, volleyball, tennis, field hockey, and track and field. An administrative building with museums and offices, parks, and an artificial lake are also planned.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke with a representative of the Chinese company CAMC Engineering, which is conducting construction work.

After the completion of the Asian Games, the Olympic Village will continue to function and become an essential center of domestic sports. As the President noted, this complex will be a venue for competitions and a scientific, practical, educational, and training center. It will house the Ministry of Sports, the Anti-Doping Agency, the State Sports Academy, the Research Institute of Physical Culture, and the Sports Development Center. The village will host classes to prepare and improve the skills of professional athletes, and regional sports organizations will have the opportunity to use the infrastructure of the complex.

The Olympic Village will be managed according to the principles of a smart city. The village will serve the people for many years as an important sports and health center.
