WNAM REPORT: At a Cabinet meeting on September 13, conducted via digital platform by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the General Director of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers, M. Chakiyev, reported on efforts to enhance the qualifications of civil aviation personnel.
It was proposed that the Aviation Personnel Training School of the Türkmenhowaýollary agency introduce a training program based on the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards.
To boost the cargo turnover at the country’s international airports, improve the efficiency of cargo storage facilities, and increase the number of international freight operations, specialized courses will be organized.
In this context, the Agency’s leader submitted the proposal for the president’s consideration.
After reviewing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the civil aviation sector in Turkmenistan has been rapidly advancing in recent years, with regular procurement of new aircraft and the creation of modern airport facilities, which requires internationally qualified specialists.
Approving the proposal to establish a training program aimed at enhancing the skills of aviation personnel and gaining international experience, the president instructed the head of the Agency to carry out the necessary work in this area.
