WNAM MONITORING: This year, Kazakhstan plans to supply 1.2 million tons of oil to Germany.
At the KIOGE conference in Almaty, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Energy Almasadam Satkaliyev revealed that Germany had requested an increase in oil supplies from Kazakhstan to 2.5 million tons.
“We plan to export 1.2 million tons to Germany by the end of the year, and there is a request from their side to increase this to 2.5 million tons in total,” the minister said.
It was previously reported that Kazakhstan would ramp up oil supplies to Germany to 1.2 million tons, and would supply 1.5 million tons via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan route.
According to the Ministry of Energy, oil exports have increased to 70.5 million tons, or 109.6%.
