The governorship of KPK is not a bed of roses. Since it comprises highly sensitive tribal belt of FATA which shares border with Afghanistan and equally sensitive Balochistan province of the country. Since the days of British colonialists the stewardship of that province was always handed over to that person who knew inside out of FATA and was fully well versed with the tribesmen’ customs and way of life. There is a consensus amongst the political observers that among the present lot of politicians, Anwar Saifullah Khan, perhaps, was the most suitable person for appointment to that gubernatorial office.
Had he been appointed as Governor KPK there would have been a smooth sailing in the corridors of power in Peshawar. Not only his track record as a politician been spotless, he has had added advantage of an experienced civil administrator also having served as deputy commissioner in many districts of KPK. He knew the art of administration like the palm of his hand.
Had he been the governor of KPK there would have been no war of attrition between the Governor and the CM house of that province. Even now the wrong between the above two houses can be righted if ASK is made governor of KPK.
