WNAM REPORT: As part of International Partnership Initiatives Week, an international roundtable discussion on “A Perfect and Healthy Generation – the Foundation of the Future of the New Uzbekistan” was held.
The main goals of the event were to actively involve young people in sports, discuss strategic objectives aimed at forming a healthy lifestyle, and familiarize the international community with reforms in this area.
The Minister of Youth Policy and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Adham Ikramov, drew the participants’ attention to the results of work in the field.
“To radically reform the field, attract young people to mass sports, and improve public health, over the past few years, more than 50 decrees and resolutions of the President of Uzbekistan have been adopted, and the implementation of these documents has been ensured”, says Mr. Adham Ikramov. “In the past and current years, our young athletes have won 357 gold, 252 silver, and 491 bronze medals at prestigious world competitions”.
At the event, foreign speakers drew attention to the comprehensive system created to popularize physical education and direct talented youth to professional sports.
It was announced that in 2025, Tashkent will host the Third Asian and Fifth Asian Youth Para Games.
