Jakarta to apply traffic management for presidential inauguration day

WNAM REPORT: The Government of Jakarta has prepared traffic management that will be applied in the city during the inauguration of President-elect Prabowo Subianto and Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka on Sunday (October 20).

“To support the inauguration of the president-elect and vice president-elect for the 2024-2029 term, traffic management will be carried out at several road sections from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (local time),” Head of the Jakarta Transportation Office Syafrin Liputo confirmed here on Saturday.

Traffic management that will be implemented is as follows:

1. Traffic heading from the East (Pasar Senen) to the West (Tomang direction) can go via Gunung Sahari Street-Dr. Sutomo Street-Gedung Kesenian Street-Lapangan Banteng Utara Street-Katedral Street-Veteran Street-Suryapranoto Street-Balikpapan Street-Kyai Caringin Street-Tomang Raya Street and so on.

2. Traffic heading from the West (Tomang) to the East (Pasar Senen) can go via Tomang Raya Street-Kyai Caringin Street-Balikpapan Street-Suryapranoto Street-Ir. Haji Juanda Street-Pos Street and so on.

3. Traffic heading from the North to the South can go via Ir. H. Juanda Street-Pos Street-Gedung Kesenian Street-Lapangan Utara Street-Lapangan Banteng Barat Street-Pejambon Street-M Ridwan Rais Street towards Rasuna Said directions and so on.

4. Traffic heading from the North to the South can go via Gunung Sahari Street-Kramat Raya Street-Salemba Street-Proklamasi Street-Tambah Street-Prof. Dr. Sahardjo Street and so on.

5. Traffic heading from the North (Tanah Abang) to the East (Pancoran) can go via KH Mas Mansyur Street-Prof. Dr. Satrio Street-Casablanca Raya Street-HR Rasuna Said Street-Gatot Subroto Street and so on.

6. Traffic heading from the West (Slipi) to the East (Pancoran) can go via Slipi I Street-Jatibaru Raya Street-Fachrudin Street-KH Mas Mansyur Street-Prof. Dr. Satrio Street-Casablanca Raya Street-HR Rasuna Said Street-Gatot Subroto Street and so on.

7. Traffic heading from the West (Petamburan) to the East (Pancoran) can go via KS Tubun Street-Kebon Jati Street-Facrudin Street-KH Mas Mansyur Street-Prof. Dr. Satrio Street-Casablanca Raya Street-HR Rasuna Said Street-Gatot Subroto Street and so on.

8. Traffic heading from the East (Manggarai) to the West (Palmerah) can go via Galunggung Street-RM Margono Joyohadikusumo Street-Penjernihan I Street-Penjompongan Raya Street and so on.

9. Traffic heading from the West (Palmerah) to the East (Manggarai) can go via Tentara Pelajar Street-Palmerah Timur Street-Penjompongan Raya Street-Penjernihan I Street-RM Margono Joyohadikusumo Street-Galunggung Street and so on.

10. Traffic heading from the East (Pancoran) to the North (Tanah Abang) can go via Gatot Subroto Street-HR Rasuna Said Street-Prof. Dr. Satrio Street-KH Mas Mansyur Street and so on.

11. Traffic heading from the East (Pancoran) to the South (Blok M) can go via Jenderal Gatot Subroto Street-HR Rasuna Said Street or can take Kapten Tendean Street-Wolter Monginsidi Street-Trunojoyo Street-Panglima Polim Street and so on.

12. Traffic heading from the South (Blok M) to the North (Tanah Abang) can go via Panglima Polim Street-Sisingamangaraja Street-Hang Lekir I Street-Asia Afrika Street-Gerbang Pemuda Street-Bendungan Jatiluhur Street-Bendungan Hilir Street-KH Mas Mansyur Street and so on.

After the president and vice president are inaugurated at the parliamentary complex and then head to the Merdeka Palace, traffic flow will be opened gradually on Jenderal Gatot Subroto Street, starting from the Kuningan Intersection segment to Slipi Petamburan Intersection.

Liputo appealed to road users to avoid these streets and to adjust their trips to the established traffic management plans.

In addition, long-distance train users heading to Gambir Station can adjust their travel time.

Furthermore, long-distance train passengers who will depart through Gambir Station are also urged to adjust their travel time to the station.

“Obey traffic signs and instructions from officers as well as prioritize safety on the road,” he told people.
