WNAM REPORT: On November 3, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Murat Nurtleu arrived on an official visit to the Republic of Korea, during which he is scheduled to meet with the country’s leadership, hold talks with Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yul, as well as to participate in the “Central Asia – Republic of Korea” forum, as reported.
On the first day of the visit, in order to further expand the Kazakh-Korean trade, economic and investment cooperation, Murat Nurtleu held meetings with the representatives of major companies in South Korea.
At a meeting with the top managers of the Hyundae Hospital, the sides discussed the project of construction of a 200-bed multi-functional hospital in Almaty region, to be implemented jointly with Kazakhstan’s Shin-Line company. Minister Nurtleu noted the importance of this project for the social sphere of Kazakhstan, emphasizing that the construction of the hospital will improve the system of medical services on the Korean model and ensure the use of advanced technologies.
A meeting With You E&C focused on the issues of construction of a waste processing plant in Kyzylorda region, which will be an important step towards achieving carbon neutrality by Kazakhstan by 2060. The plant will contribute to improving the environmental situation and sustainable development of the region’s economy. The company also expressed its readiness to expand the project and estgablish similar plants in other regions of Kazakhstan.
During the meetings with the heads of Sejong and Seoyon E-HWA companies the projects on production of auto components in Kostanay region were discussed. Korean partners demonstrated high interest in investing in the economy of Kazakhstan and expressed readiness to train local personnel for successful mastering of new technologies.
Murat Nurtleu emphasized that the Kazakh Government will provide full support for the successful implementation of these initiatives, which contribute to strengthening the economic ties between Kazakhstan and South Korea.
