WNAM MONITORING: As part of his working trip Almaty mayor Yerboplat Dossayev visited a new sports and fitness center in Turksib district in Almaty.
Up to 600 people a day may go to the sports center. It will become a magnet for young sportsmen and locals to take sports in comfortable conditions. The mayor said the modern sports and fitness center network will be built across the city.
The mayor met there with the winners and runners-up of the Olympic Games Dmitry Balandin, Alexandra Li, and Islam Satpayev.
He said another sports center will be built in the district with a shooting sports hall and a 50-meter pool.
Besides, a new sports and fitness center with a capacity of up to 400 visits opened this month in Zerdeli residential estate. It is noteworthy, that three more centers will open in Shugyla and Sayala residential estates and Aviator stadium and a sports center for people with disabilities.
