WNAM REPORT: The National Bank of Tajikistan and the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates signed a memorandum of mutual understanding and exchange of information, News Agency learned from sources.
The document was signed on December 9, at a meeting of the Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan, Firdavs Tolibzoda, Ambassador of Tajikistan to the UAE Ashrafjon Gulov with the Governor of the UAE Central Bank, Khaled Mohammed Balama.
The memorandum is called to contribute to strengthening the cooperation in the banking sector and exchange of experience, and marks a new stage in the bilateral cooperation.
The sides also discussed the pressing issues of the banking system and expressed readiness to develop and expand interbank relations in banking supervision, payment systems, combating money laundering and terrorism financing, opening correspondent accounts, managing international resources, digital currencies and digitalizing the banking system. The parties also reached agreement on organizing educational events to exchange information on the issues mentioned, the National Bank of Tajikistan informs on its official website.
The parties entered into a memorandum of mutual understanding and exchange of information between the UAE Central Bank and the National Bank of Tajikistan.
