WNAM REPORT: For the first time in Uzbekistan, a unique ecosystem educational project was held to immerse schoolchildren, students, teachers, and university professors in modern quantum technologies.
The initiative was implemented by Rosatom and the Russian Quantum Center (RQC) as part of the events of the roadmap for the development of the high-tech field of Quantum Computing. The week started on December 10 at the Samarkand State University named after Sharaf Rashidov, based on which the Samarkand Quantum Center operates under the leadership of the world-famous Uzbek scientist Anvar Zakhidov.
For seven days, public lectures on quantum technologies, open quantum lessons, tours of laboratories, and roundtables with employers and scientists were held at universities in Jizzakh, at the branch of NRTU MISIS in the city of Almalyk, as well as at the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the National University located in Tashkent.
During the visit, the Russian delegation signed an agreement with the Agency for Innovative Development under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation. The document aims to strengthen cooperation between countries in training specialists in quantum computing based on Russian research centers.
It was noted that this initiative will help to form an understanding among citizens of our country about advanced developments in quantum computing and their practical application, and the agreements reached will accelerate the exchange of experience and expand mutually beneficial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia in this promising area.
