Tashkent ( WNAM MONITORING): In the first 11 months of 2024, Uzbekistan welcomed over 7.3 million foreign tourists, marking an 18.8% increase (1.15 million people) compared to the same period last year.
The majority of tourists came from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan (both with 2.1 million each), followed by Kazakhstan (1.4 million) and Russia (741.2 thousand).
The top ten leading countries also included Turkmenistan (171.2 thousand), Turkey (108 thousand), China (66.6 thousand), India (63.4 thousand), South Korea (39.1 thousand), Afghanistan (38 thousand), and other countries (428.8 thousand).
