WNAM MONITORING: President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has had a telephone conversation with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev.
The presidents expressed their condolences to each other and to the families and relatives of the victims of Azerbaijan Airlines plane crash in Mangistau region.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev shared information about the progress of the work of the special state commission investigating the accident and assured that the Kazakh side would make every effort to ensure comprehensive and unbiased investigation into the plane crash circumstances.
Ilham Aliyev thanked the Government of Kazakhstan for prompt measures taken to carry out search and rescue works and provision of emergency care to those injured.
The sides agreed that the two countries’ governmental structures will stay in close contact during the investigation of the circumstances of this tragic accident.
