WNAM MONITORING: As of December 1 last year, the net foreign assets of Azerbaijani banks amounted to 27 billion 186.9 million manat ($15.99 billion).
This is 3.4% more than the monthly average, 7.8% more than the beginning of last year, and 18.1% more than December 1, 2023.
During the reporting period, the net domestic assets of banks amounted to 17.5 billion manats ($10.29 billion), which is 3.6% less than the monthly average, 11.8% less than the beginning of 2024, and 13.9% less than the annual average.
There are 22 banks operating in Azerbaijan.
