Jakarta: President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) stated that the two towers of The Pakubuwono Nusantara Apartment, worth Rp1 trillion (US$64.5 million) of investment, being developed in the new capital (IKN) Nusantara will emerge as green world-class residences.
According to a statement received from his secretariat in Jakarta on Thursday, the president gladly welcomed the construction of the apartment that he deems as consistent with IKN Nusantara’s green city concept.
“IKN is being developed by applying the green city concept, so all elements, including the buildings, should be eco-friendly. In my opinion, the development plan of the apartment genuinely conforms to the concept,” he said during the groundbreaking for the apartment in Nusantara, East Kalimantan.
Jokowi praised the design for The Pakubuwono Nusantara Apartment, saying that it will become a reference for other developers.
“This (design) is very good. I believe it will encourage other developers to emulate the green concept prepared by The Pakubuwono Nusantara,” he said.
The president noted that the apartment will be built by applying the latest technology to create efficiency and ensure comfort for its residents and those living in its surroundings.
