Tashkent (WNAM MONTORING): Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Alisher Tukhtaev met with Khalid Mahmood, the head of the leading pharmaceutical company Getz Pharma.
The meeting focused on expanding bilateral cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector and advancing joint investment projects.
The ambassador toured the company’s storage facilities, control and measurement systems compliant with international safety standards, and observed various stages of drug production and transportation processes. He was also briefed on the activities of the analytical team responsible for continuous monitoring of production.
Khalid Mahmood emphasized the importance of implementing international standardization and certification systems in Uzbekistan to further develop the pharmaceutical industry and attract foreign investment.
He also expressed readiness to cooperate with Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Health and the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry on these initiatives.
Additionally, Mahmood revealed that a project to produce biotechnological medicines has commenced at the “Tashkent Pharma Park” pharmaceutical cluster.
