WNAM MONITORING: The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a meeting of the State Organizational Committee on Thursday in Ashgabat. The meeting focused on preparing events for the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality and the declaration of 2025 as the “International Year of Peace and Trust.” The Chairman of the Mejlis and members of the Cabinet of Ministers attended, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.
At the beginning of the meeting, Berdimuhamedov congratulated those present on the arrival of the New Year, noting that the current year should be one of progress and prosperity for the country. He emphasized the importance of the upcoming celebrations, which will be marked not only in Turkmenistan but also abroad.
The committee paid particular attention to organizing international events that reflect Turkmenistan’s peaceful policy and support for UN initiatives. The committee’s main tasks include conducting high-level events, preparing commemorative medals, creating anniversary souvenirs, organizing cultural activities, and improving infrastructure to beautify Ashgabat.
