WNAM REPORT: An experiment in artificial snow formation took place in the highlands of Kunlun. An unmanned aerial vehicle, having reached an altitude of more than 4,000 meters above sea level, successfully carried out an operation to spray special reagents in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, As reported.
The experiment’s effectiveness was confirmed by the sensor systems installed on board the drone. High-precision equipment recorded the successful formation of snowfall as a result of the catalyst spraying.
According to experts, the introduction of drone-based snowmaking technology is of strategic importance for western China. The Kunlun Mountain Range, a key source of water in the region, will be able to provide a more stable water supply to the surrounding areas thanks to this innovation.
