WNAM MONITORING: Derya Soysal, an independent expert and partner of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Belgium, spoke on Gold FM (106.1 MHz), where she discussed the significance of Turkmenistan’s neutrality as an important tool for ensuring peace and stability, as reported by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Belgium on Tuesday.
The expert paid special attention to the historical aspect, noting that on December 12, 1995, Turkmenistan declared its permanent neutrality, which became the foundation of the country’s foreign policy.
According to her, neutrality strengthens national identity, fosters the development of international relations, and allows effective participation in resolving regional issues.
Soysal highlighted the recognition of Turkmenistan’s neutrality on the international stage as an example for the global community in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals and peace.
