WNAM REPORT: The Ambassador of Iran to Turkmenistan Ali Mojtaba Ruzbehani met with the Governor of the Khorasan-Razavi region Gholamhossein Mozaffari, where they discussed the prospects for the development of cross-border cooperation. Ruzbekhani noted that it is the Khorasan-Razavi border crossings that are the main gates between countries and have the greatest potential for development, as per reports.
Turkmenistan is one of the promising markets for us, and we will continue to develop a new chapter in relations between our countries, Iranian Ambassador Ruzbekhani said during the meeting.
Governor Gholamhossein Mozaffari during the meeting emphasized the need to modernize the Serakhs border crossing to facilitate the movement of businessmen and trade representatives. He also focused on the importance of introducing a unified management system at the border points of the region. The meeting took place in the office of the provincial governor.
The length of the joint border between the Razavi Khorasan region and Turkmenistan is 532 kilometers, passing through the regions of Kuchan, Dergez, Kelat, Serakhs and Salehabad.
