Jakarta ( WNAM MONITORING): The Ministry of National Development Planning has said that the Indonesia Pavilion at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, will showcase Indonesia’s diverse cultures and sustainable development goals (SDGs) achievements.
Indonesia will raise the theme of “Designing Future Society for Our Lives” at the international exhibition.
The Indonesia Pavilion will cover an area of 1,750 square meters, National Development Planning Minister Rachmat Pambudy informed during a meeting with the Ministry of Trade, according to a statement released here on Tuesday.
The pavilion is designed to be shaped like a vessel as a symbol of Indonesia’s vision to continue to move forward.
The government has said that the construction of the pavilion is 75 percent finished and is targeted for completion in March 2025.
Furthermore, the World Expo 2025, which is taking place from April 13 to October 13, is expected to be a strategic event that will help attract green investment and strengthen Indonesia’s image as a sustainable country.
“Our participation in the World Expo 2025 Osaka is proof of Indonesia’s seriousness in building an inclusive and sustainable economy,” the minister said.
He further said that Indonesia is seeking to show the world that it has a strong commitment to achieving the SDGs and open investment opportunities that will be beneficial for all people.
A total of 17 Indonesian ministries and agencies, 8 regional governments, and 23 private companies and non-governmental organizations will participate in the event.
“Through cross-sector participation, Indonesia hopes to increase the positive impact of participating in the World Expo 2025 in Osaka,” he said.
