Tashkent ( WNAM REPORT): The Committee for Tourism Development of Uzbekistan forecasts that 12 million foreign tourists will visit the country in 2025. This was announced during an open dialogue with travel agencies.

Committee head Umid Shadiev highlighted that Uzbekistan plans to attract up to 1 million tourists from Russia in 2025, up from 870,000 in 2024.

Additionally, it is expected that the number of domestic tourists in Uzbekistan will reach 23 million.

The Committee also aims to increase the export of tourism services to US$3.5 billion, a 9% increase compared to 2024.

For reference, in the previous year, Uzbekistan welcomed 10.2 million foreign tourists, marking a 1.5-fold increase compared to 2023. The number of guests from China increased by 1.8 times, from Italy by 1.5 times, and from India by 1.6 times.
