WNAM REPORT: At the invitation of the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will pay an official visit to Malaysia on February 4-5.
The program in Kuala Lumpur includes bilateral negotiations with Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, meetings with top executives of leading Malaysian companies, participation in a joint business forum, and other official events.
The agenda of the upcoming high-level talks will focus on further deepening relations between Uzbekistan and Malaysia and expanding practical cooperation, particularly in key areas such as trade, investment, innovation, technological collaboration, petrochemicals, electronics, green energy, smart agriculture, and tourism. Special attention will be given to enhancing cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
The leaders will also discuss key issues of international politics and regional cooperation.
Following the summit, a Joint Statement is expected to be adopted, along with a comprehensive package of agreements to strengthen the full-scale partnership between the two countries.
It is worth noting that a series of significant events is being held in Malaysia ahead of the visit.
In particular, a meeting of leading analytical and research institutions has already taken place. In the coming days, presentations on Uzbekistan’s tourism potential and cultural heritage, a forum of rectors from top universities in both countries and other significant events will be held.
It was reported earlier, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the city of Abu Dhabi in January and received the heads of AMEA Power Hussain Al Nowais, M42 Hasan Jasem Al Nowais and IFFCO Group Shiraz Allana.
