WNAM REPORT: The Astana International Forum cancelled last year will be held in 2025. Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov signed the corresponding decree.
Its organizing committee includes the Deputy Prime Minister – National Economy Minister (chairman), Vice Minister of National Economy (deputy chairman), deputy head of the foreign policy department of the Kazakh Presidential Administration (secretary), Deputy Foreign Minister, Deputy Interior Minister, and others.
Recall that in 2024 the Head of State cancelled the Astana International Forum as part of a cost-cutting measure as the country battled the aftermath of the unprecedented flooding and provided aid to its citizens.
