WNAM REPORT: The Government of Pakistan, through the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development (OP&HRD) and Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF), in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), has facilitated the repatriation of mortal remains of four (04) Pakistani nationals from Morocco. The mortal remains arrived at Islamabad International Airport on Flight No. SV 726, where grieving families, OPF officials, and concerned departments received them with deep sorrow.

Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development, Ch. Salik Hussain, attended the repatriation to stand in solidarity with the bereaved families. Expressing profound grief, he acknowledged the tragedy as national loss and assured full government support. He extended gratitude to the families for their patience and cooperation, reaffirming the government’s commitment to assisting overseas Pakistanis in times of distress.

Taking serious notice of the increasing incidents of illegal migration, the Prime Minister of Pakistan has directed strict action against those involved in human trafficking. The government is actively working to expand legal avenues for overseas employment by engaging with international companies and embassies. Efforts are underway to establish training institutes in Pakistan in collaboration with foreign firms, ensuring skilled workers secure jobs abroad through legal means. Additionally, new information offices in small cities will be set up to educate citizens about legal work visas and overseas job opportunities. Families are urged to guide their children toward legal migration, as the government is committed to developing a foolproof system for safe and structured overseas employment.

The repatriation concluded with a collective dua for the departed souls. Following religious rites, the mortal remains were transported to their native towns in ambulances provided by Pakistan Sweet Home, under the directives of its CEO, Zamarud Khan. The Federal Minister personally oversaw the arrangements, ensuring all necessary support for the families. The government remains dedicated to safeguarding the rights of overseas Pakistanis, eliminating illegal migration networks, and taking decisive action against human traffickers to prevent further tragedies.
