WNAM REPORT: Ambassador of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Ibragimov met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Alibek Bakayev to discuss pressing bilateral and multilateral cooperation issues.
Both sides highly praised the steady development of political, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian ties between the two countries. They also exchanged views on matters of international and regional significance.
Discussions focused on coordination and promotion of mutual interests on multilateral platforms such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA), and the “Central Asia Plus” formats.
As written before, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are set to develop 34 joint projects worth USD 4.5 bln.
