Cooperation in the chemical industry is also developing along with economics, trade, education, culture, and tourism.
The joint business forum, held as part of the official visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Malaysia on February 4-5, opened up new opportunities for the two countries’ business circles.
A delegation led by the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Uzkimyosanoat JSC, Akbar Kurbanov, attended the event.
Uzbekistan’s chemical industry potential was presented at the event. The delegation also held meetings with several large Malaysian companies and discussed promising areas of cooperation. Implementing joint projects based on MTO technology and personnel training was discussed at the meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petronas, Mohd Bakke Salleh.
The possibilities of implementing investment projects in the chemical industry were discussed at the meeting with the Managing Director of Sparco Engineering, Sumasni Sulaiman. The parties focused on cooperation in producing formaldehyde, titanium dioxide, and maleic acid. Malaysian company representatives expressed interest in these projects, emphasizing their attractiveness to investment.
The prospects for financing projects implemented in the chemical industry of Uzbekistan were discussed at the meeting with the leadership of the Export-Import Bank of Malaysia.
During the visit of the delegation of Uzkimyosanoat JSC to Malaysia, important negotiations were held with leading companies, and agreements were reached on investment and technological cooperation. This creates excellent opportunities for industrial development, innovation, and the production of high-value-added products.
